Look at these frontrunners according to Real Clear Politics’ averages for upcoming primaries.
Florida:
McCain 22.7%
Giuliani 21%
Huckabee 18.3%
Romney 16.3%
Thompson 7.7%
South Carolina:
Huckabee 27.8%
McCain 22.5%
Romney 16.5%
Thompson 9.3%
Giuliani 7.0%
Michigan:
Romney 27%
McCain 26.3%
Huckabee 15.9%
Giuliani 5.7%
Nevada:
Romney 23.7%
Giuliani 23.7%
Huckabee 15.7%
Thompson 9.7%
McCain 7.3%
My point is that the Republican race is all over the place. I’m convinced its going to take until Super Tuesday on February 5th to get our candidate. Thompson and Giuliani are irrelevant to me at this point. My hopes are still up for Romney who I think needs to pull it out in Michigan to stay relevant for Super Tuesday. A good friend of mine linked me to this article that summarizes McCain’s liberal record, and I wish the rest of America’s Republicans would realize his non-Republican tendencies. Huckabee’s a nice guy but the last thing we need in Washington right now is a liberal populist. Those are my thoughts for now.
